Ansu Fati is expected to make his return from injury in the coming weeks after 10 months out, but Barcelona‘s match at home to Granada on Monday will come too soon for the young forward.
Barcelona are hoping that the 18-year-old might be able to feature when they travel to face Cadiz next Thursday, September 23.
There had initially been talk that Ansu Fati could return for Barcelona‘s clash against Sevilla on Matchday 4, a game that was later postponed due to the CONMEBOL players returning late from international duty, but Ronald Koeman confirmed that would not be the case.
Both the coaching staff and the medical team want to go step by step with Ansu Fati, following the three operations he has had on his knee.
Now, Ansu Fati‘s knee is a lot healthier and the goal will now be for him to regain confidence in his body and get firing on the pitch once again.
