Gareth Bale’s injuries: 102 matches missed for Real Madrid

Gareth Bale’s injury problems have once again resurfaced, with the Welshman ruled out of Real Madrid‘s LaLiga Santander fixture against Celta Vigo on Sunday.

The Welshman’s career at Real Madrid has been blighted by fitness problems and his latest setback means that he will have missed 102 matches through injury during his time at the club.

In fact, given that it is a muscular injury, he could face up to several weeks on the sidelines to get himself back to full fitness.

His latest injury problem comes during what was a strong start to the season, which he continued into the international break as he scored a hat-trick in a 3-2 victory over Belarus in a World Cup qualifying fixture.

The news of his injury is disappointing for Carlo Ancelotti, who has had his faith in the 32-year-old rewarded at the start of this campaign, but he will be without one of his strongest attackers at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.
