Indeed, the centre-back opened the scoring in London to set the Blues on their way to victory.

And his overall performance was fantastic, with Rudiger producing some brilliant attacking bursts while also keeping Jamie Vardy in his back pocket.
But as tends to be the way with things at Chelsea, there is a sting in the tail.
Rudiger’s contract expires in 2022 and he is yet to hear anything from the club over his future.
Tuchel knows how vital the centre-back has become by joining the debate, calling on Chelsea to hand his latest star improved terms.
After four years at the club, Rudiger has finally found his best form.
At just 28 years old, he has plenty of seasons ahead to make Chelsea an even more formidable machine.
And on the back of tonight’s monstrous performance, as well as Tuchel’s public plea, the Blues must tie Rudiger down if they want to avoid yet another rebuilding job in defence.
