GOOD MORNING MAN UTD FANS
Manchester United have started negotiations with Real Madrid over Raphael Varane.
That is according to RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, who claims this week will be critical.
Bouhafsi tweeted: “Manchester United have started negotiations with Real Madrid for the transfer of Raphael Varane.
“The two clubs have been exchanging for several hours, Man United asked Madrid’s expectations. The week will be decisive”.
Meanwhile, United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has revealed why manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed a new deal.
Woodward said: “Ole and his staff have worked tirelessly putting the foundations in place for long-term success on the pitch.
“The results of that have become increasingly visible over the past two seasons and we are all looking forward to seeing this exciting team develop further in the years ahead.
“What is especially pleasing is the way this progress has been achieved with a blend of young, homegrown talent and top-class recruits, playing attacking football in the best traditions of Manchester United.
“We are more confident than ever that, under Ole’s leadership, we are heading in the right direction.”
And finally, the Red Devils are convinced that they can sign Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid.
Saul is reportedly available for just £45million during this summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Mail, United feel they can prise the midfielder from Atletico’s clutches.
But they would face stiff competition from a host of top European clubs, including Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
