Reaction from the board of directors to the FC Bayern women’s title

“Congratulations girls, you did a great job. FC Bayern is proud of you,” said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge after the FCB Women won the German championship 2020/21. fcbayern.com has compiled more reaction.

Reaction to the Frankfurt game

Herbert Hainer (President): “Chapeau! I think it’s absolutely great. If you win 20 out of 22 games in a season, you’ve more than earned it. It’s not just the wins, it’s the way the women play. It’s really great and that’s why they are deserved German champions. If you’ve seen the technical level today, and the physical ability, you have to say that women’s football has developed tremendously. I’ve always said we want to be top not just in Germany but also in Europe. We’ve achieved this nationally and, of course, we want to go even further internationally.”

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (CEO): “Our women have played a great season. Today they became German champions and they did well in the Champions League. We can only pay them a big compliment. I think the development of women’s football at FC Bayern is extremely positive. We’ve been doing this for 50 years, you shouldn’t forget that. The way things have developed over the past five to ten years, you have to tip your hat.”
