PSG warm up for second leg with win

Paris Saint-Germain are going into Tuesday’s quarter-final second leg (kick-off 21:00 CEST) against FC Bayern on the back of a win. The capital club enjoyed a comfortable 4-1 victory away to RC Strasbourg on Saturday, with Kylian Mbappé (16’), Pablo Sarabia (27’), Moise Kean (45’) and Leandro Paredes (79’) the scorers for PSG. They remain second in Ligue 1 on 66 points, three behind OSC Lille, who won 2-0 at Metz on Friday evening. Coach Mauricio Pochettino made seven changes from the team that started in Munich last Wednesday.

PSG line-up: Navas (Rico 46’) – Kehrer (Dagba 64’), Pereira, Kimpembe, Bakker – Paredes, Herrera (Simons 89’) – Sarabia, Rafinha (Gueye 74’), Mbappé (Nagera 89’) – Kean (Draxler 75’).

Kylian Mbappé and PSG demonstrated their flair.

Bayern believe they can pull it off

FCB must win at Parc des Princes on Tuesday night if they are to overcome the 3-2 defeat in the first leg and progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League. “We need to make sure we’re ready for a big game on Tuesday,” said a bullish Hansi Flick after the 1-1 draw against Union Berlin. “We’re confident, even though we know it’s going to be very tough against a side who have immense quality in attack. But they also showed where we can get the better of them. We have to score at least two goals and win by two goals. That’s the target.”
