LaLiga Santander is on fire! The top four are separated by three points

Barcelona suffered an unexpected slip at home to Granada on Thursday, blowing a lead to lose 2-1. As a result, the title race is even more closely contested than it had been previously, and four teams remain separated by just three points.

Each of the four title hopefuls have four games to play, but all eyes are already on the weekend of May 8 and 9, when the four will all face off against one another.

Barcelona host Atletico Madrid on the afternoon of Saturday, May 8 with that game kicking off at 16:15 CEST. Diego Simeone‘s side have had a tough team of late and their collapse has reopened the door for Barcelona, Real Madrid and Sevilla in pursuit of the title.

Real Madrid welcome Sevilla to Valdebebas the next day, completing a weekend that could go a long way to deciding the title’s destination.

Real Madrid are waiting

Los Blancos will rotate for the game against Osasuna this coming weekend, with the Champions League semi-final second leg to come in midweek. As things stand, the champions are two points behind cross-city rivals and leaders Atletico Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane‘s side know that even an Atleti draw will allow them to retain their title by winning all of their games.

At the back in fourth, Sevilla‘s dream is more alive than ever and they’re just three points off top spot.
