Sergi Roberto has been having a frustrating season and he has suffered a further setback with another thigh injury.
The 29-year-old had to be subbed off during Barcelona‘s 3-3 draw against Levante, despite coming on as a sub himself, and he underwent tests on Wednesday which revealed the injury in his right leg.
He has already missed 35 games this season through injury and looks set for another spell on the sidelines.
Sergi Roberto suffered a thigh injury in the LaLiga Santander game away to Atletico Madrid and missed 11 games as a result, while he also missed a further month of the season with COVID-19.
It has been a campaign to forget for the versatile Catalan and he’ll likely be glad to see the back of it, hoping he can recover properly and play without fear of further setbacks next season.
