Brady savours Ronaldo heroics

As someone who reached incredible levels of performance in the latter stages of his career, legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady would have appreciated Ronaldo’s genius as he watched on on Saturday.

The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers sensation confirmed his retirement from NFL at the end of the previous season and used up some of his newfound free time to take in a fixture at the Theatre of Dreams.

Ten Hag has Rangnick plan

Erik ten Hag is said to be ready to make the move from Ajax to Manchester United in the summer.

The Red Devils are eyeing a new boss at the end of the season, with Ralf Rangnick seemingly unlikely to be handed the job on a full-time basis.

However, Ten Hag would reportedly be ready to give Rangnick a role in his coaching staff, as he is said to value the potential experience the German could bring to the dugout.

Mauricio Pochettino is also reported to be in the frame, although his status is said to have been damaged after his Paris Saint-Germain side collapsed against Real Madrid in the Champions League, throwing away a 2-0 aggregate lead to lose 3-2 over two legs.

David De Gea returned what was a false positive Covic-19 test – the Spain international eventually started against Spurs – and Bruno Fernandes was ruled out due to illness.

The club also cancelled their plans for the team to travel to Old Trafford together by bus from the Lowry Hotel, instead meeting at the club’s Carrington training complex, amid fears of a spread of coronavirus in the squad.

Luke Shaw missed Sunday’s hammering at the hands of Manchester City after returning a positive test and was absent again against Tottenham.
