Mikel Arteta has opened up on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s departure from Arsenal – and made perfectly clear the personal standards he expects to be kept by his players.
Aubameyang joined Spanish giants Barcelona on transfer deadline day after finding himself ostracised at the Emirates Stadium following a disciplinary breach in December.
And Gunners boss Arteta has now opened up on the departure of his former captain.
It comes as Arsenal have agreed their first summer signing with New England Revolution keeper Matt Turner set to move to the club.
And the Gunners sealed a narrow 1-0 win over Wolves in a fractious match at Molineux.

Wolves talking points
Mikel Arteta’s side claimed a narrow 1-0 win in their Premier League encounter with Wolves on Thursday night.
Arsenal went ahead after 25 minutes when Gabriel poked in after Jose Sa and Alexandre Lacazette collided in the area.
But Gabriel Martinelli was sent off for Arsenal with 21 minutes left after earning two yellow cards in a matter of seconds.
First he pushed Daniel Podence to stop a quick throw but referee Michael Oliver played advantage.
Yet the striker then barged into Chiquinho and was immediately shown two yellow cards.

New signing agreed
New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner will move to Arsenal in a £7.5million deal this summer, it has been claimed.
Reports claim that all of the necessary paperwork has now been completed on the deal and the player now just needs to pass a medical and gain a work permit to make his move official.
The signing could be the first of many once again this summer, as the Gunners make their transfer plans for the summer window.

Arteta makes demands clear
Mikel Arteta has made it pefectly clear to his players the standards they need to keep after the Arsenal boss opened up on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s exit from the club.
Aubameyang was stripped of the captaincy, made to train alone and ultimately never played for the club again as he was frozen out following a disciplinary breach in December.
And Gunners boss Arteta insists he has ‘no regrets’ over how he handled the situation, as he hinted on what caused their reationship to break down.
