Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s regeneration of the club’s first XI appears to be based on bringing young, hungry players to the Emirates who can help the club grow.
It’s a similar method to the one employed by Gunners legend Arsene Wenger, who used the club’s academy and brought young players throughout his time in charge of the team.
But while those young players have not always proven to be a success at the top level, several are still plying their trade in the football league.
Those players could prove to be warning signs for youngsters linked with a move to Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window, such as Swedish striker Alexander Isak.

Mirror Football has taken a look at five players who couldn’t quite force their way into the first team at Arsenal but who are still carving out careers for themselves in the Football League.
