Rebic will be Milan’s secret weapon tomorrow

AC Milan will take on Juventus in the 23rd round of Serie A tomorrow evening and they will be looking to bounce back from the recent defeat. By the looks of it, they will have a ‘secret weapon’ on the bench.

The player in question is Ante Rebic, who is expected to start on the bench as Rafael Leao has had a fantastic start to 2022. For this game, however, the Croatian international might come out on top.

In fact, Milan’s No.12 has scored in each of his last three league games against Juventus, most recently securing a 1-1 draw at Allianz Stadium. Furthermore, the Turin clubs are the favourite victims of his career (five goals against Torino, four against Juve).

These are very impressive numbers and only one player has managed to score in more consecutive games against Juventus, namely Mauro Icardi. He scored in five consecutive games between 2013 and 2015.

With all this in mind, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Rebic come off the bench in the second half tomorrow.
