Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard continued to flirt with AC Milan by naming three of their former defenders among his inspirations.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, Pavard spoke about his temptation to try a new project and left the door very much open to a potential move to Italy. He also revealed that Olivier Giroud has spoken to him about playing for Milan, admitting that he would like to play alongside his friend and compatriot.
As part of the interview, Pavard was also asked who he considers to be his idols and who he tried to emulate while growing up, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
“Lilian Thuram, centre-back at his club, full-back with the national team. I like Thiago Silva, always at the top despite his age. I have always admired Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Nesta, Giorgio Chiellini. I still watch them on YouTube: there is always something to learn from them. I inherited mental strength and daily commitment from my father,” he said.
