Milan in talks over swap deal that would see Pobega leave and playmaker arrive

AC Milan and Atalanta are currently in talks over a swap deal that would satisfy both parties by bringing them the target they want, a report claims.

According to TuttoAtalanta.com, the deal being discussed would see playmaker Josip Ilicic join Milan and midfielder Tommaso Pobega would go the other way to Bergamo. The clubs are looking for the perfect chemistry as the Rossoneri need to replace Hakan Calhanoglu and the profile of the Slovenian playmaker is one that they admire.

Atalanta chief Percassi valued Ilicic at €8-10m, while Milan want €12m to sell Pobega, who could become the latest young midfielder to try his hand somewhere else after Manuel Locatelli and Matteo Pessina.

La Dea wants to close definitively soon as they see Pobega as the ideal alternative to De Roon and/or Freuler in the middle of the park, so it is a situation worth keeping an eye on.
