Lazio turn attentions to winger as Milan remain undecided on his future

AC Milan have not yet made a decision on whether to buy Junior Messias and Lazio are looking to pounce on that, a report claims.

Messias arrived at Milan on deadline day of the summer transfer window on a loan with option to buy deal from Crotone – who have been relegated to Serie C this season – and although he has six goals to his name across all competitions he has been largely inconsistent.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), it seems as though Lazio are on the lookout for a new forward and the name of Junior Messias is one that appeals to them, having been left impressed by what they have seen this season and in 2020-21 when Crotone were in Serie A.

The Brazilian is currently on loan as mentioned but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have not yet made a choice on whether to sign him permanently, so there seems to be a window open.
