AC Milan will face Fiorentina on Sunday evening and Stefano Pioli only has one doubt with regard to the starting XI. Given that it’s the last clash before the World Cup break, there is no reason to rest any of the stars.
The Rossoneri need to bounce back from the 0-0 draw against Cremonese not just for their confidence, but also because Napoli are eight points ahead as things stand. While that gap may not get smaller before the break, Milan can’t afford to make it bigger.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), Pioli will revert to his usual XI now that Theo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud are back from suspension. Brahim Diaz is expected to get the chance on the right, where he has done well a couple of times this season.
The only real battle, per the newspaper, is in the No.10 role as Rade Krunic is currently tipped to play from start. Charles De Ketelaere clearly still needs time to adapt and in such an important game, Pioli could opt for the reliable Krunic.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo; Bennacer, Tonali; Diaz, Krunic, Leao; Giroud.
