AC Milan

From Spain: Milan and Barcelona find compromise regarding deal for defender

AC Milan appear to be moving forward in their attempts to sign Junior Firpo from Barcelona, according to a report from Spain.

According to Spanish journalist Toni Juanmartì of Sport.es, there have been some steps forward in the negotiations and Milan are hoping to reach an agreement with the Rossoneri. Barca initially wanted an outright sale whereas Milan want the Spaniard on loan with an option to buy.

This distance on the formula had blocked the negotiations a bit especially given there has been offers from the Premier League. Firpo for his part wants to play for Milan and there is confidence filtering from those close to the operation regarding its success.

Milan have opened the possibility of taking the full-back on loan with obligation to buy, as long as the price is affordable, but Barca must lower their requests a bit before the deal can finally go through.
