Among the absences that AC Milan have at the moment, it is Alessandro Florenzi who is expected to be the last name to return.
MilanNews recalls how one of the striking images of the season so far was at the Mapei Stadium when Florenzi went off in serious pain and the Rossoneri were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw. After the game it became apparent that the full-back would be joining Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the treatment table for months to come.
There was anger and sadness about Florenzi sustaining another injury problem but it also meant the team were without his important presence within the dynamics of the dressing room, as he was often in the front row to encourage team-mates even when the cameras are focused on Ibrahimovic.
Florenzi and Zlatan would be joined by Davide Calabria, Alexis Saelemaekers and Mike Maignan, with the hope being for the former Roma man that he recovers in February in time for the Champions League last 16 tie with Spurs.
