AC Milan

Cassano believes Milan’s awareness is equal to signings of Inter and Juve

AC Milan have been somewhat criticised this summer for not making as many reinforcements as Scudetto rivals Inter and Juventus. However, the season opener showed the Rossoneri might not need it.

Stefano Pioli’s men secured a convincing 4-2 win against Udinese this past weekend and thus ended a trend of draws against the Fruili side (three in a row). It is the first time they have scored four goals in an opener since 2010 (vs. Lecce then).

Meanwhile, Inter had to rely on a 96th-minute winner against Lecce. Juventus got the job done against Sassuolo, finding the back of the three times. Nevertheless, Milan proved their strength and this is exactly what Antonio Cassano highlighted (via MilanNews).

“Juve, Inter and Milan are the favourites, they are the strongest teams. Inter have reinforced, Juve as well. Milan, instead, I consider perhaps less strong but more aware. It’s a team that is proving to be at the top, they can fight again this year,” he said during an Instagram live.

Milan will take on Atalanta this Sunday evening and it will be a very interesting game. The Bergamo side, as we know, struggled last season and will have to bounce back this term. But the Rossoneri are strong.
