The Algerian spent 206 days sidelined after the Champions League game against Inter last season, but the struggles did not end there. Since then, Milan have been without Bennacer on a few occasions due to injuries, but he is returning to his best now and enjoying a run in the team.
Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) have written that now is his time to redeem himself. This season, he has missed 25 of the 41 games that the Rossoneri have played, which has impacted the side.
Now, though, he is once again fresh after recovering from struggles which impacted his time with the National Team, and he will be hoping to show his best in the final stages of the season.
In recent weeks, he has shone next to Tijjani Reijnders as Stefano Pioli seems to have found his perfect combination for the midfield, and it is hoped this will continue into next season as both look to continue to better their partnership.
