Man Utd make ‘opening bid’ for Jadon Sancho but Borussia Dortmund demanding ‘non-negotiable’ £82m transfer fee


MANCHESTER UNITED have submitted an opening bid for Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

The Red Devils are desperate to land a new right-winger in this summer transfer window.

Borussia Dortmund star Sancho, 21, is top of their priority list.

And German newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten state a formal offer has been lodged.

It is unclear how much the bid was but United are thought to want Sancho for just £60million.

However, the report states Dortmund are demanding £82m plus bonuses – with the fee described as ‘non-negotiable’.

That figure is £26m less than the £108m the Bundesliga side wanted last summer when a deal could not be agreed.

But a year on, United are confident of securing a deal for the England wide man.

Personal terms should not be an issue with many of the details already agreed.

Dortmund ideally want Sancho’s future to be sorted out by the middle of July.

That would in turn give them time to find a replacement in time for the new season.
