FC Bayern Women follow last weekend’s 4-0 win away at Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga with another pivotal fixture as the Munich ladies host Eintracht Frankfurt in the semi-final of the DFB Cup. State of play
Bayern have seen off Andernach in the second round (2-0), Kickers Offenbach in the last 16 (6-0) and Carl Zeiss Jena in the quarter-finals (3-0) to book their place in the final four of the cup against fellow Bundesliga side Frankfurt.
Alexander Straus’s team come into this tie in excellent form on the back of eight straight wins in all competitions. Bayern last faced Eintracht in the cup back in the 2021/22 round of 16, with the Bavarians progressing thanks to a 4-2 home win. The most recent encounter, however, was only a few weeks ago as Bayern went to Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and claimed a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Klara Bühl and Lea Schüller.
