Erling Haaland has been linked with a sensational move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
But you wouldn’t know it to ask the Dortmund forward, who is very relaxed about all the interest being shown in him from top clubs around the world.
Norway international Haaland has netted 33 in 31 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga club this season and has chipped in with a further eight assists.
He has a release clause of just £64million, which comes into play in 2020, but is expected to be the subject of a huge bidding war this summer with Real Madrid, Man City, Chelsea and United all threatening to make a bid.
The speculation is enough to stress any player out, but Haaland, despite being just 20, is taking everything in his stride, suggesting this transfer saga is likely to be drawn out.
When asked about his future, his chances of joining a big club like Man United, and whether he can emulate the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Haaland responded calmly.
“I still have three years of contract [at Dortmund],” said Haaland. “I am not worried about that. The media are the ones who write about it, I don’t focus on those things.
“I want to improve every day. Ronaldo and Messi… I don’t need to talk about them. They are the best of all time. They are still very far away.”
Simple as that.
