Atletico have enjoyed an outstanding start to the season, but can make their start seem even stronger with a win over Real Madrid tonight. Diego Simeone’s men are unbeaten this term and have reeled off seven wins on the bounce in the league. They were solid during the week to ease past Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League. Los Rojiblancos can make a statement for their title hopes with a victory over their bitter rivals.

Real Madrid begin the day six points adrift of Atletico at the top of the table. Zinedine Zidane’s men already secured a vital win in the Champions League this week to secure a place in the knockout stage by defeating Borussia Monchengladbach. Los Blancos can now turn their attention to the deficit in LaLiga. They’ve not been at their best this term, but a win tonight could swing momentum in their favour.
