UEFA believe they can win their legal case against the clubs involved in the ongoing fallout from the European Super League project.
Aleksander Ceferin‘s organisation will not bow to the orders of the Madrid court which stipulated last Friday that all sanctions against the clubs involved should be rolled back.
The court also ruled that UEFA should take back all other measures taken against the Italian and English clubs involved.
The case is now set to be heard by the European Union’s Justice Court in Luxembourg, who will give their judgement on UEFA‘s control of football in Europe.
LaLiga president Javier Tebas declared his surprise at the chain of events and posted an article on Twitter which summarised the situation.
“The judge confirmed that none of the 12 clubs have given up on the Super League,” it read, this in spite of the founding clubs giving public statements to the contrary.
“The Super League project continues with the involvement of all the founding clubs and the statements made are insufficient.”
