The Derby della Madonnina against Inter on Sunday night is an opportunity for Milan to emphatically end their bad run of form that has all but ended their Serie A title aspirations, a report claims.
As has been suggested by Milan News, winning the derby against Inter would be the best and most effective way for Milan to end their bad run and start to climb back up the Serie A table.
Since beating Salernitana on January 4, Milan have drawn against AS Roma and Lecce, and lost 4-0 and 5-2 against Lazio and Sassuolo respectively. They have also been knocked out of the Coppa Italia by Torino.
The attack has stopped scoring, and the defence has completely lost all solidity. The belief that would come from beating Inter at San Siro, though, would be the perfect foundation to rebuild from.
Milan have dropped to fifth in the Serie A table but can climb above Inter with a win, who are currently second.
