Man Utd transfer news LIVE: TEN offers for Anthony Elanga, Eriksen on CRUTCHES, Marco Reus LATEST, Harry Kane updates

Good morning United fans

Man Utd could be set for a shock swoop for Stefan De Vrij in the summer transfer window, according to Sport Italia.

30-year-old centre back De Vrij is out of contract in June.

Newcastle, Tottenham, Villarreal and Feyenoord are all said to be monitoring his situation, alongside the Red Devils.

De Vrij has appeared 19 times for Inter Milan this campaign.
He is said to be considering his future and will reportedly make a decision by mid-February.

Former Man Utd striker Louis Saha has urged his former club to sign Harry Kane – because it would guarantee a Premier League win next season.

“If Harry Kane goes to Manchester United, then I can guarantee that he’s going to win the Premier League,” Saha told Betfred.

“You can’t ask for much more as he knows the Premier League and he’s scored so many goals for Tottenham and the national team.

“With Manchester United’s current set-up and their approach to games tactically, then having a forward that can come into that team and score you 25 goals a season will be the last piece of the puzzle.

“You need somebody who can do the big job and the big job is to score 25 to 30 goals.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has invited some of his Manchester United pals on holiday to join him in a proper goodbye.

Ronaldo’s United exit happened when he was with Portugal on World Cup duty, meaning he never got a chance to say farewell to team-mates.

So now he has been in touch with his closest friends in the squad to try and arrange a visit to his homeland — or even visit him in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo left United in November after criticising the club in an interview with Piers Morgan.

He signed a £170million-a-year deal with Saudi side Al Nassr — the richest football deal ever.

Ronaldo, 37, is currently having a luxury home built on the outskirts of Lisbon and has texted some of his pals at United about getting together over the summer.

He has also asked if they would be interested in watching him play for his new club in the Middle East, if schedules allow it.

Erik ten Hag has insisted there is more to come from underfire Brazilian winger Antony.

The £85m signing has had his critics of late following some poor displays.

But the Dutch tactician has backed his signing to come good, if he continues to improve.

Ten Hag told ITV Sport after the Reading game: “I think he is growing. We want him to be more dynamic and direct.

“We are happy with his improvement but there is more to come. Big potential and he has to develop every day.”
