Real Madrid vs Liverpool: Lucas Vazquez coy on future: I was and will always be a Real Madrid man

Lucas Vazquez wasn’t giving anything away over his future at Real Madrid following their 3-1 win over Liverpool in the Champions League.

The Spaniard’s contract at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu expires on June 30, with no news over an agreement to extend it yet.

“What I concentrate on is the present,” Lucas said at full time.

“I’m really enjoying myself this season because I’m playing and that’s what makes me happy.

Lucas played at right-back as Zinedine Zidane‘s side put on a brilliant performance to take control of their quarter final with Liverpool.

“We have to be pleased,” Lucas said.

“We knew that we were playing against a very dangerous opponent.

“It’s a very good result and we’ve still got the second leg to come.

“We wanted to combine direct moves with balls in behind. We found space, we moved the ball from side to side…

“Today was big. It was a tough game in the first leg of a Champions League quarter final.

“It gives us confidence going into the Clasico and the return leg at Anfield.”
