Sergio Ramos has picked up a calf injury which will see him miss some crucial matches for Real Madrid, but the injury itself didn’t even occur during a game.
Instead, after the 35-year-old’s four-minute cameo appearance off the bench for Spain against Kosovo on Wednesday night, Ramos felt what he described as a ‘pinch’ in his left calf during a recovery session after the game.
While he did not specify exactly at which point the injury occurred, it could have been when Ramos and some of the other substitutes did a sprint from one end of the pitch to the other.
Ramos is expected to miss Real Madrid‘s upcoming matches against Eibar (April 3), Liverpool (April 7) and Barcelona (April 10).
