The international break always sees an exodus of Real Madrid players who go to represent their respective countries all around the world.
Circumstances this time have meant that fewer players have set off on international duty than normal, largely due to injuries and the postponement of South America’s World Cup qualifiers.
Those that have been called up by their respective national teams are: Thibaut Courtois, Raphael Varane, Ferland Mendy, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Andriy Lunin.
Real Madrid aren’t standing idly by, and they don’t want their players to pick up injuries during the international break. They don’t want their players to burn out with three international games being played over seven days.
Special attention on Kroos and Modric
Real Madrid‘s midfielders are key to their countries, just like they are to Los Blancos.
Zinedine Zidane will need both for the run-in, and he’ll be hoping that they come back in good shape.
