Eden Hazard’s involvement in Real Madrid‘s final training session before facing Eibar came as a surprise.
Although the Belgian didn’t feature on Saturday, his participation in Friday’s session sparked hope that he could take part against Liverpool on Tuesday. On Sunday, he trained again, and his involvement against the Premier League champions looks more likely.
Hazard appears to have left his last injury behind him, having suffered yet another setback on March 13.
A new start
Once the doubts about whether or not to operate were overcome, the focus was always on getting back to work as soon as possible in order to be in a position to play against Liverpool.
Of course, everything depends on Zinedine Zidane‘s decision, and he’s not looking to take any unnecessary risks with his No.7, particularly after so many problems since his arrival from Chelsea.
As things stand, though, everything suggests that Hazard will at least be in Real Madrid‘s squad for the game, and it will be his fifth comeback of the season so far.
It has been another campaign destroyed by injuries for Hazard, who has played just 14 times to date, but is back for the final stretch with two trophies left to play for.
