Real Madrid Castilla have enjoyed having Hugo Duro this season, with the striker contributing 12 goals as they push for promotion to LaLiga SmartBank.
Duro has been rewarded for his performances with a couple of senior appearances in the Real Madrid first team, but his success has predominantly been with Raul Gonzalez‘s side.
The 21-year-old joins the list of great centre-forwards to have represented Castilla in the past: Alvaro Negredo, Mariano Diaz, Alvaro Morata and Borja Mayoral to name just a few.
Having been involved in the senior team, Duro is bringing that experience back down to Castilla, and it’s anticipated that Los Blancos will exercise their option to make his loan move a permanent one.
Castilla have not been promoted since 2011/12, when they had a squad with talents like Dani Carvajal, Nacho Fernandez, Diego Llorente, Fabinho, Jese Rodriguez and Lucas Vazquez.
This Sunday, Duro and his Castilla teammates take on Ibiza in the Segunda B playoffs.
