The 28-year-old spent 11 years at German giants Bayern Munich, accumulating an impressive 27 titles, which makes him the most decorated player in the current Real Madrid squad.
All of his titles have come at the Bavarian club, who have dominated German football over the last decade, with the Austrian having won 10 Bundesliga titles in his time there as well as six DFB-Pokal cups and DFL-Supercups.
He has also conquered Europe on two occasions, winning the Champions League in the 2012/13 and 2019/20 seasons. These European Cup triumphs also led to two UEFA Super Cup wins and two Club World Cups.
Alaba boasts a better trophy cabinet than the two most highly-decorated players at the club, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo, who both have 22 major titles at club level.
A born-winner and someone of such experience of winning at the highest level will be a welcome addition in the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu dressing room.
