Luka Modric has become the most-capped player in the history of the Croatian national team, overtaking Darijo Srna by making his 135th appearance for the side.
To celebrate the achievement, the Croatian football federation created a tribute video in which various Croatian footballing legends praised the midfielder.
As the squad watched the video during this international break, Modric teared up. When his teammates stood up to clap him, he couldn’t help but get even more emotional.
They even celebrated this impressive milestone with a cake.
