A PARK football team has celebrated winning the treble — with their own open top bus parade.
College Wanderers FC players swigged cans of lager, sang, and let off orange flares as they toured near-empty streets.
The team partied after lifting the EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District Football League Division One title.
They won 25 of their 29 matches in all competitions — and added the league trophy to the Challenge Cup and Sporting Shield.
The club’s 18 players each chipped in £40 to hire the bus and left their local boozer, The Talbot Inn, on Saturday for a pre-arranged route around Scunthorpe, Lincs.
They stopped off for a quick pint after an hour before getting back on board ahead of a BBQ and karaoke night back at the Talbot.
Player-boss Craig Hunsley, 36, said: “One of the lads suggested we do it for a laugh if we won the treble.
“I thought we’d all feel a bit silly but it was among the funniest two hours of my life.
“We had cars following us, beeping their horns and people coming out of shops waving and cheering. It was magic.”
Sales manager Craig added: “We’re made up of steel workers, a primary school teacher and car salesmen.
“None of us train — we’ve all got kids so there just isn’t enough time.”
Footage of their celebrations has gone viral online and been viewed more than 750,000 times — including by ex-England ace Peter Crouch, 41, who called the parade “spectacular”.
