Valencia centre-back Mouctar Diakhaby has reiterated his claim that Juan Cala called him a ‘sh***y black’ in the game between Los Che and Cadiz, and has asked for his counterpart to be punished.
Diakhaby spoke publicly after a LaLiga report concluded that there is no evidence to prove his claims and also following LaLiga president, Javier Tebas suggestions that the Valencia defender could have misunderstood what Cala said.
“There is a long ball, I protect my goalkeeper and that’s where Juan Cala begins to insult me by saying ‘sh***y black’,” Diakhaby recalled in an interview for RMC.
“You have all seen my reaction. Pretty pissed off. You can see what happened in the videos.”
Diakhaby stressed that the Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee have also opened an investigation into the incident and that he is not willing to give up on the case.
“The investigation has not yet ruled in favour of Cala,” added Diakhaby.
“It is ongoing. We will go before the [Spanish Football] Federation, a judge will try to resolve this case.
“The story does not end. I do not understand this situation, knowing the evidence they have. They have evidence that is confidential. There are tapes, but apparently, they do not say everything.
“I intend to follow this story to the end. I am not crazy. I wouldn’t leave the field and create a false controversy. It would be crazy to do that.”
