It was a huge match for Forest Green and Bolton with both teams chasing automatic promotion to League One.

But it was the visitors Bolton who claimed all three points in the end with a 1-0 victory thanks to Eoin Doyle’s goal in the 39th minute.

The victory means Bolton leapfrogged Rovers into third, and are now sitting just one point adrift of Cambridge United in the final automatic promotion spot.

It was an afternoon to forget for Matt, who headed into the game enjoying his best season in front of goal.

Matt, who has previously played for the likes of Fleetwood, Blackpool and Newport County, has netted 15 goals this season.
