Fans all saying same thing as World Cup fan zone food is revealed including ‘s***show’ £9 salad and dry nachos


THE standard of food at the World Cup fan zone has been slammed – while the prices are also being called into question.

Earlier this year, organisers promised the “best Fifa Fan Festival in history” in Qatar.

But judging by the quality and prices of food, it’s likely to be the complete opposite.

The Sun’s Martin Lipton took a trip to the fan park and was stunned by what’s in store for supporters.

Around 40,000 people are expected to come from all over the world to watch football’s greatest show.

However, they better not come with empty stomachs because they’re likely to be disappointed.

If you’re interested in staying healthy while at the World Cup, a Greek salad, that doesn’t exactly look very appetizing, will set you back £9.

There’s also an extremely depressing plate of nachos with a mean amount of guacamole distilled from a plastic bottle, which is around £4.60.

The Mexican theme doesn’t stop there though, there’s also chicken quesadillas on the menu, which costs £8, the same price as a pepperoni pizza.

Unsurprisingly, fans have been left angry at the state of the food.

One said: “If you’re going to Qatar for this s**tshow you deserve to get ripped off.”

A second admitted: “My rabbits get fed a better salad.”

A third supporter said: “This is easily going to be the worst World Cup to date”.
