Los Angeles FC’s new hire, Welshman Gareth Bale, grabbed all the headlines after announcing his arrival in MLS to play alongside Mexican star Carlos Vela and Italian Giorgio Chiellini, also recently hired by the Californian team.
After 16 games this season, LAFC is the leader of the MLS with 33 points, so the arrival of the two Europeans makes it a firm candidate for the title that has been denied to the franchise until now.
After several seasons with Real Madrid and after being a key player that allowed the Wales team to return to the World Cup, Bale arrived as a free agent at LAFC, but until now there had been no word for the possible debut date with the team.
The possible date of Bale’s debut
Given his recent arrival from Europe, it goes without saying that Bale is not yet ready to play this week, when LAFC take on FC Dallas on Wednesday.
The next match is on Saturday, July 2 against the Montreal Whitecaps, and on Thursday, July 7, the second transfer window in MLS arrives, so Bale could play on Friday, July 8.
That day, LAFC plays at home, the Banc of California Stadium, neither more nor less than against the Los Angeles Galaxy, for which Bale would make his debut in the Clasico del Trafico, and against his former teammate at Real Madrid, the Mexican superstar Javier Chicharito Hernandez.
World champions with Real Madrid
Chicharito and Bale were champions in the 2014 Club World Cup with the Merengue team, in Morocco, and the Mexican came to play several games with Madrid to replace an injured Bale.
