Real Madrid start pre-season with medical examinations

Real Madrid’s 2021/22 season has officially begun in earnest, with Los Blancos’ senior players to take their pre-season medical examinations on Monday.

Isco has been given permission to join up with the squad on Tuesday, yet for the remainder of the players they will undergo medical tests at the Sanitas Valdebebas Medical Centre throughout Monday afternoon.

Once these tests are completed, the first training session of Carlo Ancelotti‘s second spell in Madrid will take place, although because of international tournaments the Italian coach will only have around 13 first-team players to work with for the first few weeks.

The remaining 16 players are either competing in the European Championship, Copa America or will be involved in the Olympic Games set to be hosted in Japan later this summer.
