Real Madrid is in the market for a no.9: The names the club is considering for their attack

Real Madrid are preparing to make a signing in the upcoming summer transfer market in order to strengthen their attack. However, there are internal uncertainties within the club regarding the direction they should take.

The debate revolves around whether to focus on young talent with long-term potential or experienced players who can make an immediate impact. The discussion remains open, and the club is actively considering various options.

The list of potential targets continues to grow rapidly. Players such as Harry Kane, Roberto Firmino, Julian Alvarez, Marcus Thuram, Joselu, Goncalo Ramos, Rasmus Hojlund, Kai Harvertz, Kolo Muani, Victor Osimhen, and Karim Adeyemi have all been mentioned.

Additionally, the young players from Real Madrid academy, Alvaro Rodriguez and Juanmi Latasa, who is currently on loan at Getafe are also being considered as options to beef up the attack.

Among the names, Kane has been the most prominent. The Tottenham star and England international has been linked with Real Madrid for quite some time, as he is eager to leave a team that hasn’t been winning titles.

However, negotiating with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has proven to be a significant obstacle, and there have been no talks between Real Madrid and anyone associated with the Premier League club.

Real Madrid‘s directors have recently adjusted their target for the striker position. Initially, they were not actively searching for a forward, but now they recognize the need to find a player who can serve as a reference point in the team. It’s important to note that Endrick is expected to join the Madrid-based club in 2024.

During meetings held at Valdebebas, the club’s training ground, the initial idea was to sign a young striker with potential for growth. However, the memories of the underwhelming performances of previous signings such as Luka Jovic have made the club more cautious in their approach.

Latasa is another player under consideration, as Real Madrid continue to keep an eye on his progress. He recently made his first start for Getafe, scoring a goal to secure a draw. The coach, Jose Bordalas, is giving him opportunities that he didn’t get previously, and Real Madrid still have faith in his abilities.
