Real Madrid 2-0 Eibar: Benzema isn’t letting up

Karim Benzema‘s hot streak in front of goal for Real Madrid continued during their 2-0 win over Eibar on Saturday.

The 33-year-old converted Vinicius Junior‘s cross for Los Blancos‘ second goal at Valdebebas, extending his run of scoring in the process.

The Frenchman has now scored in seven LaLiga Santander appearances in a row – once against Getafe, Valencia, Atletico Madrid and Eibar, and twice against Elche and Celta Vigo.

If you include his goal against Atalanta in the Champions League, Benzema has scored in each of his last seven appearances in all competitions too.

The goal against Eibar also took him above Santillana in the list of Real Madrid‘s all-time scorers in LaLiga. Benzema is now in third place on his own with 186 goals.

In terms of this season, Benzema is within four goals of Lionel Messi’s 23 in the Pichichi standings. Gerard Moreno and Luis Suarez are on 19 each in between.
