LaLiga: The 12 minutes of agony that turned the title race on its head

The title race was full of twists and turns as the simultaneous kick-offs in Matchday 37 of LaLiga Santander provided plenty of drama.

At one point, with Real Madrid beating Athletic Club and Osasuna leading Atletico Madrid, Los Blancos sat top of the LaLiga Santander table.

Even after Renan Lodi‘s equaliser in the 83rd minute for Atletico, Zinedine Zidane‘s side were top on head-to-head.

Luis Suarez‘s winner, 12 minutes after Ante Budimir‘s opener for Osasuna, swung the pendulum back in Atletico‘s favour, sending them two points clear.

After leading the standings by 10 points at the end of January, throwing top spot away in such a manner would not have pleased Diego Simeone.

The Atletico boss urged his side on from the sidelines at the Wanda Metropolitano as he and his team suffered for 12 minutes.
