PSG are not giving up on Mbappe but Real Madrid believe they have him wrapped up

The Kylian Mbappe saga continues to roll on, with its outcome still subject of some doubt. The player himself met on Tuesday, during a trip to Qatar, with his people of confidence and the decision is that there is no final decision.

The player, as MARCA reported, has a full agreement with Real Madrid over what will be his future contract. Yet he is still listening to what the Parisian club has to say.

With Doha there is an economic understanding, but not a sporting one, so there have been further talks on Tuesday afternoon.

And that, curiously, is where PSG have made ground, promising every effort and sacrifice for the French forward.

Mbappe has called for a radical change, from top to bottom, in the project: he does not like sporting director Leonardo, fears that Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement will not be the right choice, and considers it vital that there are major departures as well as big-name signings.

Real Madrid remain confident and Mbappe’s people ask for patience

PSG have appealed to their star’s affection for the team to continue in order to address these footballing issues. They expect days of further meetings, with all eyes on the final game of the season at the Parc des Princes this weekend.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid remain confident. They have been doing everything possible to sign him since the summer of 2021.

They also have highlighted that the 2018 World Champion needs to play for Los Blancos to increase his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or.

Those close to Mbappe are asking for respect and patience. The forward already opted at the last minute in 2017 to join PSG rather than Real Madrid and 2022 sees him in a new position of maximum pressure and tension.
