Laurent Blanc has been sacked as coach of James Rodriguez’s Al Rayyan

Appointed in December 2020 by the Qatari club Al-Rayyan, Laurent Blanc was sacked this Sunday from his coaching position.

The former Paris Saint-Germain manager, who was appointed in December 2020, led the team for 51 matches, with a record of 19 wins, 9 draws and 23 losses.

The 1998 World Cup winning defender leaves Al-Rayyan ninth (out of twelve teams) in the Qatar Stars League.

Blanc has been replaced by the Chilean Qatar U21 coach, Nicolas Cordova.
