Ryan Kent On Leeds United radar As Marcelo Bielsa A Fan Of Rangers hero

Leeds are back in for Ryan Kent again. After they failed twice to get him, they are ready to break the bank and land him now for as much as £15 million. Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa is keen on getting the left-sided winger. The 24-year-old English man plies his trade in Scotland for Rangers.

The ex-Liverpool winger joined Scottish giants Rangers for £6.5 million in 2019. He exploded for the Gers under Steven Gerrard. Full of pace and running, Kent has added end product to his game. He wasn’t keen on leaving as he had his manager’s backing. Gerrard built his title challenge around Kent. The dynamic winger has 8 goals and 9 assists to his name. A combined team effort handed the Gers their first domestic title in 10 years.

Kent also had a breakthrough season in Europe. He helped himself to 3 goals and 4 assists in the Europa League.

THIRD TIME LUCKY

Leeds already tried to sign him twice earlier. Most recent bid came in the last summer. Rangers knocked back a bid of £11 million for him. Also on one more occasion, they bid for him in vain. This time the Elland Road outfit are raising the bar and are going for him. Kent also has a new agent who is in favor of the move.

He possesses all the qualities Bielsa loves. He’s fast, he presses and comes back to defend. An ideal fit for Leeds. Bielsa wants his signings to be done early. He attends to them for an entire preseason and makes sure the new signings meet his demands. Bielsa’s late signings have struggled to adapt to his harsh fitness demands. So if this move is to happen, we can expect an early announcement.

LOVE THE LEEDS

On their comeback to the Premier League, Leeds had an exceptional season thus far. Bielsa’s philosophy makes them fun to watch, as they attack like a pack of wolves. They fly forward in numbers and tend to get goals. This very tactic also makes them vulnerable defensively. They had highs like wins over Manchester City and also low like humbling to Manchester United.

All in all a pretty solid comeback season lead by the likes of Patrick Bamford, Raphinha, Kalvin Phillips. Leeds can have a mid-table finish or even dream of a top-half finish if they keep winning.
