That is the opinion of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp – who insists he is hopeful Salah will sign a new contract with the Reds and deliver for them over the next five years at least.

Negotiations are ongoing between the Egyptian star and the Mersey club’s board, with protracted discussions making the Anfield fan-base nervous about a conclusion that will secure the future of their most important player.

Klopp has seemed a little exasperated of late that he has been left to field all the questions over Salah’s contract as talks have dragged on.
