Three Manchester United players have been labelled “mood killers” and interim boss Ralf Rangnick is looking to sell them, it has been claimed.

The news comes as interim boss Ralf Rangnick faces his latest problem at Old Trafford, as players have started complaining about his methods.

Rangnick has been sending his players away from their Carrington training ground with homework to study – and players are not happy about it.

And a story from Cristiano Ronaldo’s first spell at Old Trafford has made his place in the current dressing room even more clear.

Ronaldo’s dressing room tears

Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was left in tears in the dressing room after a chastening learning experience following a match against Benfica.

The incident happened during the Portugal international’s first spell at Old Trafford when he was on the end of Sir Alex Ferguson’s infamous hairdryer treatment.

Rio Ferdinand said it had not only been a message from Ferguson though, but the whole team.

And it speaks volumes to how he has approached his second spell with United.

United’s “mood killers”

Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani are ‘killing the mood’ in the United camp, it has been claimed.

The mood of all three players has led interim boss Ralf Rangnick to assess their futures at the club, with more than a week left of the January transfer window.

Cavani and Pogba look set to leave at some point this year, with both players out of contract at the end of the season.

Anthony Martial has also widely been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this month, with the likes of Newcastle, Juventus and Sevilla all being linked with securing the Frenchman on loan.

And the trio are reportedly having an impact on their teammates.

Ralf Rangnick has certainly had a lot to deal with since his arrival at Manchester United.

The German manager’s been tasked with improving the side’s ailing Premier League form, developing a definitive style of play and bringing the best out of a number of underperforming players – all while uniting a dressing room that has become fractured this season.

Rangnick is renowned for his analytical approach and meticulous attention to detail and his latest efforts have seen him send United players home from training with video analysis of their performances to study.
