Khedira announces his retirement: It is the right decision

Sami Khedira has announced that he will be retiring at the end of the season.

The 34-year-old, currently with Hertha Berlin, has had an illustrious 15-year career with the German national team and massive European clubs like Real Madrid and Juventus.

Khedira started his career at Stuttgart, before an impressive 2010 World Cup earned him a move to Los Blancos that summer.

With Madrid, Khedira won LaLiga Santander in 2012 and the Champions League in 2014.

Khedira was part of the Germany side that won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, scoring in that famous 7-1 win over the hosts in the semi finals.
