GdS: Ibrahimovic at risk of missing Juventus clash

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is unlikely to be risked by the Milan management for Sunday’s game against Juventus in Turin, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that the condition of Ibrahimovic continues to be monitored, but the striker is struggling with an inflammation of the Achilles tendon of his left leg, which forced him to miss the Rossoneri’s return to the Champions League after seven years against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

Ibra spoke about his physical state at a commercial event yesterday, and even he admitted that his body and mind sometimes disagree.

“For Juve, let’s see, I have a small problem with my tendon, but otherwise everything is fine. I don’t want to risk having consequences, I don’t want to play one and then skip other games, like last year. This time I’ll listen to my body without thinking I’m Superman.”

Achilles tendon inflammation is not a serious physical problem, but it is not possible to establish how long it will take to resolve it: it could take a day, a week or maybe even more. The situation is therefore being monitored day after day, in the hope that the problem will disappear as soon as possible.

His presence against Juventus is uncertain for this reason, and if he has not recovered 100% from the injury then Zlatan has made it clear that he will not take any risks.
